Even though I don't know Stacy personally, she has a bedside manner that makes it feel as if you know her. She's professional, and yet casual enough to keep you at ease. She works quickly and is efficient at what she does, making a potentially unpleasant experience, much more tolerable. I've been to several different providers over the years due to changes in insurance, so I am always thrilled to hear when they take my current insurance. Keep up the good work Stacy! 🙂

I had a pleasant experience with the nurse who took me back to the patient room she was very friendly and personable and show genuine concern for the issues I was there to discuss. Unfortunately I did not feel the same way about Dr Cooper. I came to a professional to get answers and understand my health conditions better but she did not provide anything useful. Immediately she only recommended two options for me which were birth control and to lose a significant amount of weight. I explained to her that I have been working on my weight loss through diet and exercise and I have been seeing progress. I also explained that for personal and religious reasons I will not be utilizing any form of birth control. Once I explained my concerns she seemed to shut down the conversation she did not have any other options she didn't offer to run any tests she just quickly wrapped up the appointment and said she'll wait for me to follow up when I still have issues. I don't think she respected my personal choices and just was not willing to offer other Solutions to help. I had already discussed this with my primary care doctor and the reason for going to a gynecologist specifically was to get help from an expert and I feel like I could have Googled that information and probably found better results. I am quite disappointed with how St Luke's doctors treat their patients. There's a major lack of bedside manner, and a very obvious disrespect for any differences in medical opinions. This is not the first time I have been blown off by a St Luke's provider and unfortunately I have many family members and friends who have had the same experience. I understand that doctors have a lot on their plates but brushing off the patient in front of you is never acceptable and being rude and trying to mask it with a smile is not working. I would hope that Dr Cooper would get a refresher on bedside manners as well as alternative options or even a game plan to help patients that struggle with PCOS. And as I said earlier the nurse was lovely and I appreciated her help and kindness.

The women at the receptionist desk were lovely! Very helpful. And the woman who drew my blood in the lab did an amazing job finding a vein and listening to me, when I explained my veins have a history of rolling. And third, the nurse who did my vitals and asked the standard questions before the provider came in, also very sweet. My experience up to that point was definitely 5 stars.

Stacy Cooper, however, is not the type of provider I align with. I explained that I have very high standards for my OBGYN because I have a long history with endometriosis and chronic pain. She was perfectly pleasant but it was immediately obvious to me, that she’s using a customer service-type voice that comes across as not genuine. In my perception Stacy listens to listen, not to hear. She does all the right things- making eye contact, repeating back what I’m saying, but ignored and slightly dismissed my concerns. I will be canceling my appointment with Stacy and making one with Dr. West, who was the original reason I was looking to get established at the clinic. I agreed to see her first, to get started since Dr. West has a very full schedule. I acknowledge that absolutely, it was my decision. But as someone who provides care to clients, I would want feedback about how I can improve my services. Thus my review I am submitting.
