As a mom of four young kids, who has lived in Boston for over a decade, I can say unequivocally that Tadpole is by far the best store for children in Boston! It has everything you need as a parent ranging from the safest car seats to the most creative toys. The owner, Ana, is knowledgeable, warm, and friendly. She makes shopping for your children a pure delight! She and her husband are also experts on car seat safety, and the store sells very safe, highly rated, and comfortable car seats. They were so kind to spend literally hours helping my husband and I figure out how to install four car seats in our car (not an easy task!!) We could not have figured this out on our own. I feel so secure and confident knowing that Anna and her husband helped ensure that our kids are safe in their car seats when we drive! Ana is also an incredible person. She spent a lot of time teaching my son (who has an interest in car seats) about car seat installation. She brought him so much joy! Thank you, Ana, from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, warmth, and expertise, and for having a store that is an extraordinary resource for all parents!!

I am a seven-year-old customer of Tadpole and I think Tadpole is the greatest store in the universe! After I first discovered Tadpole, I asked my mom whether we could go there every day because we loved it so much! Tadpole not only sells incredible toys but also has the best owner in the world: Ana. Ana is so friendly and kind and is also an expert on toys, car seats, strollers, and everything related to children. My family needed a car seat for my new baby sister and Ana spent hours talking to me and my whole family about car seats. She is a Child Passenger Safety technician (CPST) and an extraordinary expert on car seats. She and her husband were so kind and patient to help my family install our car seats safely and correctly (which is a very difficult task). Ana is so kind and knowledgeable and her store is so amazing that if it were up to me, I would live at Tadpole! Thank you, Ana, for providing your incredible store to kids like me who live in Boston! We adore your store!

Only giving a two star because the first experience was pleasant. Not many stores carry Veer and coming from Rhode Island, it’s a decent drive to see the product in person. My first time was wonderful. I was able to buy the veer stroller and was told about the rewards program where it’s a point per dollar and every 100 points coverts to a $5 reward. And especially spending $800, I had a decent amount. My second time coming to the store however was much less pleasant. I called to ask if the store had the lunch cooler in stock. Don’t know if it was a language barrier or the associate just didn’t care/ unfamiliar with the products, she said they didn’t have it. I called again and got the same woman (never gave me a name) and I asked again. But this time I said that I am literally looking at your website…. Conveniently said oh yes we do! I ended up buying a bunch of veer products later in the day. I call today to confirm everything is in order- find out their website was apparently under maintenance and they had none of the items I purchased except the coolers. But yet- you’re able to take my money? If you’re website is under maintenance, you should specify it and not take your consumers hard earned cash. So the rest of the products that were not in stock got refunded. When I arrived, I purchased the veer net because I had points from my first purchase. That’s where I find out that apparently there’s a limit to use your points and it’s $25 max. Between my two purchases, I spent nearly a thousand dollars, yet I have a limit to how I can use my rewards? Also to be charged $40 for ONE net? The Veer website is $30 for two. At that point, I’d rather go directly to the manufacturer because it’s a better deal that way. It’s wonderful to shop locally but my second experience with this shop left a bad taste with me and will not be returning.

My husband and I went in there three times to look at strollers as we are first time parents and pretty clueless what to look for in a stroller. Each time we went in, all the SAs were very friendly and helpful, letting us test drive the strollers around the block too. Something we couldn’t do at Bloomingdale’s or Nordstrom. We ended up buying a perfect stroller for our lifestyle in the prettiest color and couldn’t be happier!

I’ve been buying all of my baby/children’s gifts at Tadpole since moving to Boston 10 years ago. This store has such a variety of beautiful and unusual products at all price points that I always find something that I think is the perfect gift. The salespeople are beyond pleasant—personable and EXTREMELY helpful altho I can be very, very fussy/choosy! They are very patient and take time with every customer. And they wrap and mail gifts very quickly. I wouldn’t buy baby/children’s gifts anywhere else! A+ experience each and every time!
