I got a haircut from here last week and I was happy with what I got. I usually go to North York for a haircut but after meeting Angela and fully trusting in her ideas and skills, looks like I won’t be travelling so far for one anymore. I really appreciate Angela’s attention to details. She took her time to figure out what would work best for my feature as well as my hair type (my hair is fine and thin). Definitely would come back and book with her again.

After trying out various hair salons and always feeling underwhelmed with the results, I finally decided to give Hair Concepts & Spa a shot. I didn't have high expectations since my hair and I never seem to agree on the perfect look. So here we go...As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the owner of the salon and noticed the calm and inviting atmosphere. Since it was my first visit, I wasn't sure what to expect, but Merita my hair stylist welcomed me warmly and with very little to no direction just knew exactly what to do with my hair. My cut, style and highlights were PERFECT. I highly recommend Merita & Hair Concepts.

Very nice airy and open concept salon
My friends recommend Anna and I am very happy with her work as well.
Anna is very professional, creative and understanding.

I been to Hair Concepts a couple of times just to have my hair cut. Merita did a great job. So I went back and got another cut and highlights (not from Merita). The website where you book you can see the prices. The price was supposed to be $160. I've never spent that much on myself. So when everything was all done and I go to the counter to pay $160 imagine my surprise when this appointment ended up costing me $259 (yes i did give her a tip because my hair is wonderful and i didnt want to seem rude. Dont judge on the choice please) I asked why is it so high. She said the toner I put in your hair is extra. I was not told that the toner was extra nor was I informed that I was going to be charged extra. I also think that because she went ahead and put curls in my hair, which I didn't ask for, she charged me for that as well.
Please be upfront with your customers. While my hair looks great, the guilt I carry paying over $250 might not be worth another trip back.
