Love their ceramic brake pads & rotors they are top notch! near 5% brake dust left behind; not to mention the stopping power…

Very disappointed in the quality. Purchased slotted rotors 5 months in my steering wheel starts to vibrate car starts to pulsate. I changed my wheel bearings thinking that was the problem but the issues continued so I reached out to R1 Concepts for my warranty and they sent me a new set with no hesitation. 3 months in I start having the same issue all over again steering wheel vibrating and car pulsating when I press on the brakes. I rooted for this company used them for years but I have not had the best experiences this year. Customer service is 5/5 the quality of the rotors I’d say 0/5

Up and down quality & terrible customer service from R1 Performance Brakes. I bought front ceramic rotors and pads for my small car. Worked great. More recently bought front ceramic rotors and pads for my luxury car. Warped from day one. Called and complained. They explained their return policy. I told them I was going to wait to return the rotors because I didn't want the new rotors coming from the same batch as my bad rotors. Put up with the wobble for several months. Went to return them recently. Spoke with Josh Enano who told me he was the manager in charge of warranty replacements. Went back and forth with the guy over the course of several days. I was looking for the replacement now because my rear brakes also needed done ... asap. Gave them what they needed. They kept requesting more from me. I gave them my mechanic's name, tele and email so they could reach out to them about any other needed info re the rotors. They didn't care about it. They didn't want to reach out to the mechanic themselves. Finally today in total frustration I told Josh Enano to forget the warrantied parts. I'll put OEM rotors and pads and get them installed. I promised him I would post an accurate review. Between the good and then bad quality of parts and the abysmal customer service I will never but from them again. I would certainly never recommend them to anyone else.

Not sure what's going on, but a lot of their products are no longer being made. I originally started using them because I could not find any aftermarket brakes for my 2019 G20 3 series. They offer drilled and slotted rotors with performance brake pads and they actually did very well out on the track for the price I was pleasantly surprised. Went through them quite quickly but again hard track driving. I expect to replace break's every 3-5,000 miles or so. I then stopped tracking that vehicle and wanted to put some low dust ceramic pads on there. Went to just slotted rotors because I don't need cross drill because you're more likely to crack. Put them on and one of the 4 rotors have the groves facing the wrong direction (drivers rear). I had contacted them and was told the internal veining is the one that matters, but after the first drive I instantly hated them. It had no stopping ability. It was terrible, Almost undrivable. I live with them for about a week thanks to having a short commute and not a busy travel path and told myself that if they did not get better after first canyon run to break them in I would have to go back to OEM. After the first two turns and hard breaks, they stopped almost better than the track pads initially, but they heat soak a lot quicker. I absolutely love them with almost no brake dust which is the main plus. So good! I got them all around for my 2001 Ford expedition. That's where the five stars went away. I wanted to do their big break kit since I was surprised by their price comparing them to arguably better breaks from AP racing, stoptech, wilwood, and brembo for my mini. They weren't the most expensive but they also weren't the cheapest and from what I heard at performance shops build quality on the big brakes are not that good and they should know because they've had more of a product sample pool than I have. So I ended up going with AP racing. Just waiting for those to arrive but then I went on the website and more than half the products are gone and I can't buy directly through them. Not sure what's going on or if they're going to be in business in the future because I cannot get slotted rotors anymore and I have no reason to get drilled and slotted and I like the look of something than just plain rotors. They still have the ceramic pads which are good and I'll probably buy them in the future. But now that that car is established and EBC makes brakes for them as well as hawk and some other brands, I might have to leave r1 for a little bit more money but or more reputable brand. Even though I've had good experience with them, your mileage may vary. I'll keep using them for pads since they're actually really good from my experience, but the rotors I might have to look elsewhere

Bought 2012 Camaro SS r1concept Geomet series Drilled and slotted Rotors and brakes in Dec 22, and they came in and looked great once on but they only lasted 1.5k miles before they started to warp and I don’t even drive this car much. A month later, I had this car in a storage for a year and a half due to a deployment and started driving it again and noticed severe warping when braking to the point that it’s scary to drive, they wouldn’t even offer a discounted price for a new set of front brakes. Only 2k miles on a set of rotors and pads are ridiculous. Spend money on higher quality OE or maybe Autozone’s rotors at least they warranty 2 years.

I am pissed that I didn’t get a cool sticker in my brake kit to put on my car and show your product off. Seriously guys. I bought a front brake pad and rotor kit for my Audi S7. The quality was phenomenal. My only suggestion for Audis is to include a new fastening screw for the rotors. I am sure that I speak for every garage mechanic out there, thank you for providing an affordable product that is high-quality. This helps us keep our cars on the road.

Just ordered a drilled & slotted pad and rotor kit for my NC Miata. Super happy with both the looks and performance. For being OE spec with no modification needed (plug and play) these were a great performance upgrade. Interested to see the longevity with semi-aggressive street use.

After 6 months the rotors are warped by 0.010 through 0.028. Called customer support & they told me to have a brake inspection done & report the results. After having the rotors inspected by an ase repair shop & reporting the results, R1 refuses to honor the warranty. They claim that runout has to be on a brake inspection form. I'm pretty sure no matter what form you submit, they'll deny the warranty. I'll use a manufacturer who stands by their warranty moving forward.
