Sir Lucien Guillemet, owner of the property received our family in full simplicity and humility, for more than 1,5 hours dedicated and custom-made tasting and discussion around Bordeaux, Medoc and the Pouget and Boyd Cantenac production. We are a French and American family, knowledgeable about wines, and it was such a blast to benefit from Mr Guillemet's experience and guidance around this impromptu tasting, with Mr Guillemet opening the bottles as we discussed and wanted to taste about. We had the privilege to taste all the Primeurs 2023 in a horizontal tasting 100% Cabernet, Merlot, and Petit verdot. Great wines already! Chateau Boyd-Cantenac 2011 and 2016 are exceptional and we brought them home. Far from marketing-based properties, this property is a hidden gem ? not to be missed.

Lucien gave us an amazing education on the terroir, the vines, the wine making process and the grapes. We learned a great deal from Lucien. He was very patient with us. I thought the wine was exceptional. Lucien actually gave us an enhanced tasting that included starting with the raw juice then going to a number of different vintages. Before our tasting
Lucien emailed back to us and recommended some restaurants and other vineyards He was one of our best finds in the Margaux region.

Very interesting tour and tasting with Lucien, the owner. We have visited a number of other vineyards but we came away having learned a number of new things on this tour which we hadn't heard previously. The wines were excellent and being able to taste a number of different vintages and wines, you received a real insight into how such factors influence the tastings.

Мы получили бесценный опыт винодела! Вина на дегустации были потрясающими! В этот же день мы посетили еще 2 винодельни, но вина там были "слабее" и дороже (хотя тоже не плохие). Такого интересного рассказа у нас нигде не было! И я жалею сейчас, что купила мало вина именно у них!
Владельцы - виноделы в 9 поколении, очень интеллигентные и приветливые люди. Мы благодарны им за теплый и познавательный прием!
