I shared nearly an identical experience as Joe C. I asked specifically what was the price of the capacitor part only. The tech said $600. I knew that was a ridiculous price but I needed to talk to the manufacturer of the cap the next day to assure that it wasn't a rare, rare obsolete item. Next day, the mfr said no, it's very common, about $15. Air Concepts charged me $87.50 labor for the same amount of work time (35 mins) 5 months ago. They never said anything about 1st time customer rates at the time. It took weeks to get calls back and then I found out they recorded our conversation. They did not notify me until after the conversation. CA is a 2 party consent state. This is very likely a violation of California Penal Code 632 PC. I strongly recommend NOT doing any business with this company.

BE CAREFUL OF THE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I had them do a tune-up under the newpaper ad special last year for $86, the tech they sent was phenomenal. This year, I saw another ad in the newspaper for the same deal so I booked another tune-up. After the job was done, they said the ad special was only for new customers only and would not honoring the $86 deal even though the ad didn't say for new customers only. (See photo) Also, the tech they sent this time was trying to rip me off. He said my "motor starter" is going out and would need to be replaced and that it would be $599 to replace. I did my own research and the "motor starter" is a capacitor you can get for $11 on Amazon.

Very pleased with the service. Air Concepts communicated very well so we knew the status of our job and when the technician could be expected to arrive. The technician (Mark) called when he was on his way, arrived when he said he would, and was able to diagnose our AC issue in just a few minutes. He had a replacement part in his truck, so was able to install it and get our system up and running in just a few more minutes. Thanks to Mark for his expertise. I would recommend Air Concepts to anybody needing repair ( or replacement) of their AC system.

They were very good about returning calls and email and text. Mark Simms came out, did a very thorough inspection and explained our problem in detail. He advised us to contact the original installer, as the fix would require extensive work. We appreciated his honesty and would definitely use Air Concepts again.

My air conditioner was blowing hot air, and I desperately needed quick service. I called on a Friday, and while most companies couldn’t fit me in the same day, Air Concept made it happen! They squeezed me in before the end of the day, and I’m so grateful they did.

Mark, the service professional, was exceptional. The moment he opened up the unit, he identified the issue with impressive speed and had it fixed in no time. We were initially worried about low Freon, but Mark assured us everything was fine, demonstrating honesty and integrity that are rare these days. He didn’t push for unnecessary repairs or try to overcharge us. Moreover, he voluntarily gave me a senior's discount, which I wasn't aware was available.

We truly appreciate Mark’s expertise, transparency, and efficiency. He’s someone you can trust, and we highly recommend his services!

Mark from Air concepts is the best! He serviced our AC unit, cleaned the filter, and recommended a repair plan that works for our budget. He is very friendly, arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, communicated well. I highly recommend Air Concepts and Mark in particular.

Had my a/c serviced by super awesome technician Mark yesterday. As always, excellent work from him, happy experience for me! I'm so glad and grateful Air Concepts was recommended to me when I moved here in 2006 and realized the house needed an a/c system. Air Concepts - simply the best!
