I’ve admired The Porch Swing on social media. I finally made it in person and was not disappointed. Beautiful store with great home decor and fabulous furniture pieces. They were
decorated for the fall but Christmas will be on full display in early November. Can’t wait to go back. They have a nice selection of clothes, KC stuff and a little baby section. Staff was super friendly and conscientious. Oh, they also had the KU football game playing which my husband appreciated! We hope our reviews are helpful for learning about shopping, eating and playing in the area we live in.

The Porch Swing has the most adorable home decor! Their repurposed furniture is absolutely gorgeous and you can tell that they put a lot of care into decorating the shop. It is incredibly unique and one of my families favorite places to shop!

I want to love this place so much but I have increasingly become more and more unhappy with this business. I have purchased several big pieces but usually when marked down. The prices are honestly just much higher than they should be especially on the smaller decorative items that can be purchased elsewhere for less (literally the same item). I overlooked this the first few times I shopped there even though it’s super tacky. Recently I saw an adorable small white wardrobe that I wanted for my guests room so I went in to see if it was available. When I got there I was sad to see it was gone but decided to look around anyways. There were two employees there and the conversation was um tense, they were being uncomfortably passive aggressive towards one another in the most unprofessional way. Like I’m half convinced they would have duked it out if I hadn’t been there. The heavier set girl with brown hair in a bun was being entirely too disrespectful and I walked out. I will no longer being spending my money here or ignoring the obvious issues with the business practices here. Very surface nice for customer service but undertones of not good people behind closed doors. Shop elsewhere.

What a jewel of a store! Perfect for a girls day out trip. Right now the place is loaded with Christmas decor and Gnomes. They also had a couple of beautiful sweaters I would have liked to grab for myself but I was trying to be good and stayed with gift perfect for my Dr. Seuss loving boss!

I love this place and the beauty they create.
I love the display that over 20 woman are able to put together.
This is a consignment shop but you would never know it by the look they create.
It’s a bunch of small businesses that come together and make it look pretty.
Which I know is not a easy task.
(Getting all the woman to agree?)

Yes they do carry lots of home Decor you can see in some BIG BOX shops and are slightly higher.
I am smart enough going in to know small businesses don’t have the same power and don’t get the lower prices and can’t pass on the lower pricing “big box”can. Remember there are over 20 small businesses under 1 roof.
Wholesale companies don’t care about the small dollar businesses. They think bulk buyers!!

This shop creates an experience NO big box store can!!
They create a look!
They make you want to swoop up a whole display! (And I did!?‍♀️)
So pay the extra and get the whole thing done!!
No shopping all over town or piecing together yourself!!
My whole holiday table scape came from this shop!

I love this shop. One of my favorites. I love how they have such a back of taking something old and giving it new life. Great mix of wholesale and vintage finds around. I love how I can go in and find just what I want t create a new look in one space. No longer going all over town looking for all the right things. Wasting my time and gas are a thing of the past when it comes to my home decor needs. THEY ALREADY DO ALL OF THAT!!
