It is quite an expensive experience but is a worth one time experience.
Went for the croissant making class. It is a good detailed class in terms of learning about techniques. You make the croissants first with dough made from the previous class and then learn to make the dough. You get 2 doughs per table. So better to go in groups of 2-3 instead of a group of 4 which is max on a table. The dough making and lamination is taught later, the former part is mostly by the dough machine but the latter is again by technique.
You get to eat the made croissants and take them home.

Arrived four minutes until the class start time, we were impatiently told that she didn’t have an assistant and we should wait in the 37 degree weather to let her finish setting up.

Four minutes after the class start time I knocked on the door and she was going to send us away again, but I insisted to come in.

The class itself was good after the instructor stopped complaining about full early classes with no assistants and the uselessness of the printed recipes and students who try to follow them.

TLDR. Started late. Ended really late. Unwelcoming but knowledgeable.

I enjoyed the class so much.
Easy to follow the instructions, hand-on experience. The best part is you can enjoy your own croissants there & take the rest home

Took an excellent pastry class from Chef Jen, who was extremely good at explaining the why behind all the steps and patiently walked us through making some delicious beautiful macarons. Loved the experience!

Enjoyed a very nice Macaron workshop

Incredibly informative and efficient workshop given by Makenna. She was straight to the point and gave us a lot of insight into what we have been doing wrong all along when it comes to merengue ?!

The team had a lot of interaction with each other due to the setup of the room, fun to connect through cooking.

I am grateful to the Atelier for the experience!

I came in with my boyfriend around Valentine’s Day for the croissant-making class and we had a really fun time!! Safety control was great, and the instructor would go through the process before letting you do it/helping you out occasionally. You’ll walk anyway with 8 croissants of 3 flavors at the end of the night 🙂 Really great option for any kind of bonding!

It was an awful class; Chef Makenna or Makeena was incredibly disrespectful and nasty towards students, even those asking her questions about the steps; she even yelled at a student for asking her if she was teaching another class! Her atrocious attitude made class unenjoyable and ruined the evening. Also, as someone else mentioned, we’re here to learn and enjoy the experience; we’re not trying to be chefs (if you want to do that, teach at a culinary school)

Lastly, you’re explaining many steps to students, so don’t be rude to someone who’s trying to make sure they’re following your directions. AVOID HER!

0/10, never again.
